I just had Quiet Nights and that's a good one too! No I couldn't afford 5 pound bags of everything but 965 I'd make an effort to get lol965 and MF are both in my top 10 too! Maybe top 5. I wish I could afford 5lb bags of my favorite tobaccos!
Well if you ever decide not to I'd take it off your hand$.I have a single tin of Dunhill I bought in 2017. Haven’t opened it yet. Not a massive fan of Latakia so I am not sure when I will open it.
How aged is perfection? I have some tins from 2015. I'm not in a hurry to open them but was curious the age of your last 8 ounces. The bulk I have of 965 was from one of those bags. Down to my precious last 8 oz, but it's aged to perfection. If you find a bag for sale, you let me know!
Approximately 10 years old. Perhaps more perfection is possible? I just know it is much more enjoyable than a Dunhill tin from 17 I've dipped into and blows the socks off of a '20 Peterson-branded tin. I enjoy the new stuff as well, but the aged bulk was an epiphany for me.How aged is perfection? I have some tins from 2015. I'm assuming they're not identical blends.... or are they?965 is an all-time favorite. I have an unopened tin of the Dunhill vintage. Sutliff makes Match 965, also relabeled Mixture 20, that may suit thrifty lovers of 965.
I agree, better than Nightcap for me as wellI prefer 965 over Nightcap. I have 965 cellared.
Trust me I was searching yesterday. ?The bulk I have of 965 was from one of those bags. Down to my precious last 8 oz, but it's aged to perfection. If you find a bag for sale, you let me know!
I saw that "match" option on some sites, wasn't sure on it.965 is an all-time favorite. I have an unopened tin of the Dunhill vintage. Sutliff makes Match 965, also relabeled Mixture 20, that may suit thrifty lovers of 965.
The reviews are mixed on the match, consequently I haven't tried it yet.I saw that "match" option on some sites, wasn't sure on it.
Yeah, I prefer to buy the Original. The reviews are mixed on the match, consequently I haven't tried it yet.
My thing is I wouldn't want to spend the money and be disappointed. Especially since they still make it.I guess it depends how nuanced your taste is in terms of finding matches similar to the original. I don't find them spot-on, but I often like the match blends nearly as well, as well, or occasionally a little better.
