Deja vu........

Marraige and (fill in the blank)

It could be marraige and anything. IE; Golfing, bowling, Wednesday night out with friends, nose-picking, ad infinitum.
THE INTERNET

A guy vents. Dozens of folks post responses on how they handle things at their house; some are actually true. Thread ends. All posters feel good, knowing their approach to life is correct. Thread starter thanks all, and makes no lifestyle adjustment. He/she feels much better having spoken. This is how nature intended.....leave well-enough alone.
Prove me wrong. But before you do, remember I'm also always one of the participants!!!

My OP was a comment on the love and agreeability of my marriage. No vent.
The other posts were me doing a bit of leg pullin' when it took a left turn into a gripe session of sorts about intolerant wives. They're out there, alright. Mine's just not one of them.

I like this definition better:
vent

noun

1. an opening, as in a wall, serving as an outlet for air, smoke, fumes, or the like.

2. an opening at the earth's surface from which volcanic material, as lava, steam, or gas, is emitted.

3. Zoology . the anal or excretory opening of animals, especially of those below mammals, as birds and reptiles.

4. the small opening at the breech of a gun by which fire is communicated to the charge.

5. a means of exit or escape; an outlet, as from confinement.
Basically, it means to let stuff out.

This thread cracks me up! A member posts about a reasonable conversation about pipe smoking with his wife and everyone chimes in for the next page and a half about how to handle the "problem" he is having.
EDTI: Mano posted his explanation as I was typing this.
