OK continued on from a previous post. I had a total TAD seizure and ordered most of Lane's bulk products as they are on sale.
HGL - Like it a lot as it is a light latakia blend. sweet smokiness.
Q1 - Not for me, too light. I'm not a huge aro guy.
BLWB - Tried it straight. It was OK. Actually I like Carter Hall better. Seeing it as a mixer now to add some nuttiness and slower burn to other mixes.
BCA - Not overly impressed. Extremely mild. Again, I'll use it as a mixer to slow down burn rate but looking for a better black cav for taste.
Black Raspberry - A freebie. Great pouch note, and even pre-lite inhale. I think I prefer this to cherry blends so I will actually buy some of this when its gone. Guess those sneaky folks at SMokingPipes knew what they were doing. Will use this as a mixer too.
LL 7 Match I'd call it a decent smoke, similar to drug store burley brands except cheaper and better quality. I'd use this to introduce aro smokers to burley/va blends before maybe giving them flakes.
TK 6 - A decent aro, with a slight hint of cherry. I say a step down from RLP 6 for me.
Hazelnut - Another Freebie. Didn't do anything for me in the taste dept. Will use it as a blender.
RLP 6 - I'd already smoked this before this order and knew I liked it, so I ordered 4 oz instead of 1 or 2 like the rest. Nice complexity and easy to smoke.
HG2000 - Haven't tried it yet.
Also on this order
Newminster Superior Rounds - NICE, in a corncob of course
Newminster Superior Navy Flake - OK, but a little on the weak side.
Stokkebye Luxury Navy Flake - Have yet to try
Stokkebye - Luxury Twist Flake - Have yet to try
Altadis - Fox & Hound - Have yet to try
Half & Half - Have yet to try (figure it will stay freshest the longest in its pouch)
