I think Demuth's was one of the first places to ever carry the Hackert pipes.

Very cool pipes. A few are reminiscent of the old Custombilts (I have one and it smokes great!). How do these smoke?

I thought I heard a rumor he wasn't making pipes. Or is he still making pipes, just not taking custom orders?

No custom orders, he apparently has so much business supplying the shops and his online eBay store that he only opens up custom work on rare occasions.

My Hackert is definitely my best smoker without a question. Granted, all of my other pipes were less than $60 and I haven't smoked either of my Boswell's yet. I still have faith that the one I have now is my favorite of them all and the one I have on the way will be just as good.

He sells them on eBay for about 90-125. Not sure if they'd be more or less in a B&M though
