Not being a fan of factory makes, this St. Patrick's Day edition of Peterson's "B56" billiard really sang to me. Had been debating it over the weekend, and finally decided to pull the trigger.

Haha, Duane I did the same thing. Sort of. I'm not a big fan of straights, but despite being excited they brought back the XL90 in this years group, I purchased a 106. I'll post mine later. That being said, I dang near purchased that very B56 in your photo. Now, since I waited so long to order this year, I'm just hoping it shows up by St. Patrick's Day.

Must be a thing; my first Peterson purchased just this year was also a St. Patrick's edition - the 150 Bulldog to be precise. I've been holding off for this coming Friday to christen it with some Peterson Reserve.
Welcome to the Green Pipe club...

Beautiful Pete! My favorite pipe is a Peterson Kinsale X29, which is about the same shape & size. I think they did a bang-up job on the St. Patrick's Day theme this year, and yours is a great example. Enjoy!

I tend to get all of my SPC orders delivered within two to three days, so hopefully they will be in. Will be breaking mine in with St. Patrick's Day 2016 on Friday if it arrives on time. :puffy:

Chasingembers. Nice pipe. Green is my favorite color, but not on pipes lol. Do me a favor, when you get it, when you have time, will you take a picture down the shank for me?

Just the inside walls of the shank. I gave both of my Petersons a deep cleaning the other night, and noticed that they both have fairly deep pits In the walls, right where the mouth piece fits in. I've owned them for 3 years, and never noticed them before. One is an Aran pot shape, so I know it's the lesser of the pipes. The other was a Christmas 2012 series, and I'm almost assuming it's also an Aran pipe. These are my most expensive pipes (each one was 120$) so I had been keeping them at home safe. But after seeing all the problems with them, I'm thinking about making them my beater pipes, and treating them like all the rest of my pipes.

I will definitely post some pics inside. That's the first time I've seen anything like that.

Yeah, on the only two Petersons I have! Lol didn't affect smoke quality, so I really don't care. I just thought it was strange.

I got my first Peterson in 1958 or 59. Great billiard. average size. It cost $18 new. A #4 Dunhill had cost me $22, so the Pete was an expensive pipe. Far better than what they make now.
