Thank you for your comments. :)
Here is another stummel I just finished.
The material used :

And the pipe finished, with a shortened lucite stem, a horn extension, and two vulcanite rings :

Well, it is more common as finish than a Lunar.

It's been so much time since I participed in Pipesmagazine, and I have to apology for this long absence but I have not ceased to work on pipes. So far, I am still working and improving with preturned stummels. Handmade will come one day, I hope. So, instead of words, I shall just share some pictures of what I have done during this long time.

Nice job. Yes be sure to look at the pipemakerforum bill put.
Another cent, put your eyes on Sixten's handmade or Dunhill classics, nothing else. Particularly no more Italians ...

Thanks for your comments.

I don't consider myself as a pipemaker as I don't make them from A to Z, but of course I know pipe makers forum.

I'm wondering where you get the stummels? I think what you appear to be doing (it's rather fantastic) is good for the planet. Your stemwork looks beautiful, and your finishes are quite nice. Embellishments, hand cut stems, ring grained sandblasts, your own Lunar blast, it's really nice!

I wish you continued success. :puffy:

Thank you very much, it's nice from you and I hope to improve my skills and maybe one day, being able to earn my life with pipemaking (not an easy objective in European econimic situation, lots of charges & of taxes...)

I get the stummels from Saint-Claude in France which was formerly the world's capital city of pipemaking (well, it's not the case anymore of course) and the pipe industry there (Chacom in particular) are still owning large and very old stock of preturned stummels. These are my main source of supply.
I am member of the 'Confrérie des Maitre-pipiers de St-Claude' which is opened to everyone passionated by pipes (not only pipe makers) and twice a year, there a foreign new members (Sykes Wilford was introduced last year).
