Yes, last I heard he’s fine. He responded to a comment somewhere recently (he’s probably responded to a few at this point). I was checking in on him as well, and that’s how I found his comment.

In addition, his daughter tagged him in this photo on Facebook back in June. I think she would have posted about him if he wasn’t doing well, so I assume he’s fine and simply taking a break from YouTube.

Wasn't he a forum member at one time? Seems like I remember totally going off on how stupid youtube was on him after he posted a link to a video, only to have everyone tell me that he was a famous youtuber. Maybe it was another, but Muttonchop seems stuck in my mind for some reason.
hey I once did the same thing to a musician. There was a discussion about worst shows we'd seen or bands. Already a good start. Well I picked Pigface in Pittsburgh at sometime (every opener was better then the last and started off pretty well). It sounded like someone had given a group of musicians cocaine lots of cocaine and told each of them to play a completely different song then anyone else on stage. So a bunch of b.s. coming out of people who think they rock harder then anyone ever has. I ended with saying the worst part of the show was when the singer/keyboardist fell over and then got back up without a broken arm. Then this guy named Martin was like that's not very nice. I basically said no it was actually too nice for the crime against music/art/all things good and right in this world/humanity/everything that he had committed. That's when I got like 5 or so p.m.s that where all like "do you know that Martin is that singer". I'd feel bad about it if he didn't come to the same conclusion shortly after and got off the coke (not claiming any influence, just saying how obvious it was).

Just how much is there to say about pipe smoking anyway? I mean, in terms of teaching newcomers the ropes. After you've gone through the whole 'course' all you can add is blend reviews, which not all of us find interesting, or start repeating yourself, which isn't interesting either.

Reminds me of photography magazines: useful when I got into the craft, but once I learned the basics, why would I want to keep buying them and re-reading the basics reissued?

Yes I agree- that's why I never understood the YTpC - they make it like its the best thing since sliced bread- I prefer this forum - this is so laid back and more like a real club

This summer while exploring new to me wine recipes to try out, I got into watching some mead makers. Honey wine... It's only like five different things combined to make it. One particular set of videos I really liked, because the guy was as goofy and opinionated as me, but he only had a dozen or so. So, i shot him an email, and he said that youtube was restricting new videos on anything to do with alcohol, and "how many damned videos about mixing five things together do you want to watch?" I "ha ha'd" and agreed... which made me want watch them all over again, ha! puffy

I've uploaded my pipe videos here:
My favourite pipe smoking spots are Cromford Mill and Old Brampton churchyard; this is the churchyard that appears in most of my pipe videos!
People say they keep seeing an 18th-19th Century Redcoat sitting in the churchyard smoking his clay pipe!

Come on boys thats not called for, Hall Monitor? Head Boy maybe. Now shake hands and have a nice bowl of rough shag, or just a rough shag if thats what floats your boat! I can tell you being a Prefect at a boys boarding school is no fun at all. I remember giving my Friday report to the Head Master who commented that he had heard there was a lot of buggery going on at the school. I remember answering him in that world weary tone of mine 'No more than usual head master!'.
