@Ahi Ka Probably because they break so easily I broke one in Nantwich emptying the ash out in a pub ashtray:-( One of the Sealed Knot re-enactors showed me how to tap the ash out of a clay pipe by GENTLY tapping the pipe against the back of my hand

There was an interview article a few years ago if I recall correctly. I believe Savinelli said the two most popular shapes (most sold) were the bent billiard and straight billiard (guessing 614 and 106??) . I believe that is true for most major pipe makers.

This seems to be a more specific request than just what shape. I would guess that the answer to your question would be either one of the Dunhills or Petersons. I have no idea which one.
