May have already been mentioned, but how about the man who's work went on to help formulate the big bang theory?

I don't think Norman Rockwell ever smoked his pipe - it was just a prop.

Actually he was a heavy pipe smoker and once burned his studio down by accident when his tapped ash started a cushion on fire. Luckily no one was hurt but he lost a lot that day and still kept puffing.

Carl Jung was a both a genius and a pipe smoker. And was friends with Albert Einstein, another famous pipe smoker.

A couple from the UK. Patrick Moore - who presented the monthly TV astronomy show Sky at Night for over 50 years. He started presenting it before the launch of Sputnik I until February this year when he sadly passed away at the age of 89.
Another hero of mine is Douglas Bader, WWII Spitfire ace. Despite loosing both legs in an air crash, he rejoined the air force and racked up of 20 enemy aircraft before being shot down. He tried to escape the POW camp so often that the Germans threatened to confiscate his false legs! He was also a regular customer of Blakemar Pipes which are still making high quality hand made pipes to this day.

Dutch comedian Kees van Kooten doing his character E. Oosting, I've never before seen such incredible pipe gymnastics like these!

The “Weekend at Bernie’s” post. We keep bringing it back because it’s classic. Here is a very rare photo of a very young Hugh Hefner smoking his pipe. As Jesse noted a few years ago, if memory serves, his blend was Mixture 79.
