I could never get over Parsons' Pleasure - and that one was real!

Classic, isn’t it! Lol
For those that don’t know ‘Parson’s Pleasure’ was a stretch of riverbank, frequented by male nude bathers, from the adjacent university in Oxford. Got its name thanks to a ‘voyeuristic’ clergyman.
C.S. Lewis was a frequent visitor apparently, Christopher Morley wrote a poem about it.
One anecdote has it that a number of dons were sunbathing naked at Parson's Pleasure when a female student floated by in a punt. All but one of the startled dons covered their genitals—
Maurice Bowraplaced a flannel over his head instead. When asked why he had done so, he replied, "I don’t know about you, gentlemen, but in Oxford,
I, at least, am known by my face."
Nice to remember an age in the tobacco industry, where advertising & humour were allowed. Baby’s Bottom (nothing smoother!) from Savoury’s has got to be one of the best.
