To all six of my senses, Sutliff's Creme Brule in bulk is the exact same thing. Also, Sutliff's Casanova is very close also.
Edit- to drying, Paul Creasy of Sutliff has said that he doesn't recommend drying, as the heavy topping is a part of the design of the flavor on this one, according to the PM Radio Show. In my experience, if you dry it any, the nasty burley taste steps forward. But, it's up to you what you do. I enjoy it as it is out of the tin. I've never had an issue keeping it lit.

Funny thing: I've been smoking English blends almost exclusively for over half a century, and Balkan Sobranie (in the good old days when it was the real thing,) for over 20 years. For reasons I am at a loss to explain, I found my taste for Latakia blends waning just a few months ago. Odd, because typically cold weather increases the desire for Latakia, but there you have it. Simply on a lark, I tried a bowl of Molto Dolce, and with the first puff, I said to myself: "this is the tobacco I've been waiting for my whole life!" For the past three months, I've been smoking some aromatics, some Virginia and Virginia perique blends, (tobaccos which I heartily disliked in the old days,) and every time I try a blend with Latakia in it, I find myself unable to finish the bowl. Go figure. In the meantime molto dolce stands at the pinnacle of my tobacco pantheon. There's no accountin' for taste.
Anyway, whether you smoke aromatics or not, I would recommend to every pipe smoker that you try a shot of Molto Dolce--your eyes may be opened. And by no means, "improve" on the tobacco by drying it out. Load up right out of the can; it stays lit easily, and keep the can tightly sealed so none of that incredible goodness escapes.

Been a fan of Molto Dolce for a while now, but I definitely find myself having to mix up my tobacco rotation. After an extended period of smoking it, I have to throw in a non aromatic and change up what is hitting my palate.

Based on that info, cosicfolklore, I will close up the tin for now and try it without drying first. Hopefully sometime this weekend. THANKS!

By the way, I tried a bowl of the Dunhill Early Morning this morning... nice but seemed to burn to ash quickly for some reason. I didn't smoke any faster than usual but the bowl only lasted about 30 minutes whereas I normally get about an hour from the MM Country Gent.
Should the Early Morning be dried out a bit? It really isn't all that moist to begin with and I would think (as a novice) that a wetter tobacco would burn more slowly. Am I mistaken?

Actually, I think you'll find a wetter tobacco will smoke faster and hotter than one that's been allowed to dry out a bit. I don't know the science involved, but one reason is that you'll be working harder to keep a wetter tobacco lit -- so you'll puff harder and faster. A drier tobacco can smolder more easily, making it easier to take slower puffs while maintaining a light. It will also produce less moisture in the bowl, leading to a drier and more satisfying smoke overall.
I have to say, though, that "Molto Dolce" means "very sweet." Was the fact that it was, indeed, very sweet really a surprise?

Ha, ha, Bob... I was expecting sweet but not that sweet, I suppose.
I'm looking forward to having a bowl for dessert soon. I imagine my wife (who has a sweet tooth) will love its aroma. She'll probably even want to taste it.

I too enjoy Molto Dolce but in small doses because it is so sweet. One night, I smoked two bowls of it in a new meer (my meers are for aros, briars for non-aros)and it turned my tongue black!

I just got my order with two more tins of MD. It's very enjoyable on all accounts.
Another aromatic I've recently taken a liking to is McClelland No. 401 Darkest Caramel. Not at all the same, but I like it. Light it up and take for a walk you will have strangers coming up to you asking you what it is. The room note is very much like fresh caramel corn.

Milan's Black Forrest is some good stuff too. I've been out for a while. It's kind of cliche to say, I don't smoke aros often, but I don't. But, there are a few that I like to please the crowd with, and these also have a good taste for me also. I feel like as a representative of the pipe smoking community in my own little realm here, that I'm obligated to draw in a crowd to show and smoke them a song.

Molto Dolce is the only tobacco I am always tempted to eat right out of the bag. Unsmoked, I think it smells like flan, which is a favorite dessert of mine. I love smoking it, but save it for the right evening...whatever that is. It's not something I'd smoke every day, but it's definitely one of my favorites.
Thanks, cosmicfolklore, for turning me onto it.

I took the test and then took the plunge, but sadly I can’t say I care for the Molto Dolce “yet". I think it’s the burley I don’t care for but syrup is the only comparison I can come up with. Syrup smoke. :? I can’t say I personally have tried anything that compares to it.

Since posting on this thread I have tried it, and I must say, it is one of the better Aros out there for sure. I think, for an aro anyway, I'd still rather have 1Q.

I recently received a tin on MD and based on what I have read about MD being very wet out of the tin, what would any of your suggestions be as far as cellaring it? I was thinking of popping the tin but leaving the baccy in there with the original seal broken for a month or so in order for it to dry out a bit then putting it into an 8oz ball canning jar so when I want to smoke it, its dried out enough and still aged but ready to smoke. Or should I just leave it tinned and keep it in my cellar that way?

Try Lane RLP-6. It's a nice Aro.
Have you tried MacBaren 7 Seas Regular? I found the two are comparable but Regular held the flavour throughout the bowl better.
Right now Luxury Twist Flake, Nording Labrador and MacBaren Regular are my favourite aros (And Frosty Mint! Just don't expect to be able to taste anything for a while after). I like 1-Q, Autumn Evening and Top Shelf as well. Unfortunately it seems a common thread among them is that somewhere past halfway down the bowl everything turns bitter. I almost think it's best just to dump your bowl as soon as it loses the flavour.
Oddly enough many of the strong aromatics I've tried have burned like a wildfire and need to be smothered occasionally.
Molto Dolce for me somehow didn't give the strength or longevity I've seen from the other aros. What it did do was provide an incredibly gentle smoke, almost like puffing kittens out your pipe.
