So we could buy some C&D, age it, discover mold several years later, and have it replaced with fresh tins that may or may not contain mold themselves. Sounds like a reason to buy other brands if you ask me.

The top three cakes were great, but the bottom cake was really moldy.

The interesting thing is, if you had not removed them all from the tin, but instead just smoked your way down to the bottom layer...well, might have been bad if those top layers are actually contaminated too.

Yo gor - even if you're not living out in Chester County's mushroom country, there's no question your air is full of various mold spores, germs, fungi and, these springy days, pollen. That's why blenders spray antifungal compounds like calcium propionate on their stuff.

Agreed. That's by far the worst mold I've ever seen on tinned tobacco. It looks like it's going to start sprouting mushrooms out of it. 8O

I actually had some very similar looking mold on a GH&Co twist one time. Looked like foam. Very bleached white and fluffy. Never seen another outbreak like it until now.
