I've found that blends heavily doused with humectants will feel wet, but may not be.

Too bad no one can actually measure the moisture content!
It's possible. Ether with an agricultural moisture probe which is inherently finicky with small samples or a very accurate balance and a micro zapper.
Just a load of work for little useful information.

Of course it's possible. Remark was tongue in cheek. With little work, you can get useful information from a hygrometer. Just seems no one can be arsed, and several get confused between moisture content and RH.

Keep in a mason jar of sorts. Buy a Xykar gel pack or take a water-moistened napkin and put it in the jar. Invest in a humidistat and put that in as well.

I use a NewAir fridge-like humidor that keeps everything fresh for decades. I smoked some Peterson Anniversary 2009 just yesterday and it was amazing.
