My Father purchased a few meerschaum pipes when he was stationed in Sinope, Turkey in the early 60's.
This weekend we came across them cleaning out the basement and he let me have them. Keep them in the family and get some use out of them. They aren't master carved but they are pretty special to me. They were pretty used and are in need of some TLC but I'm happy to give them a clean and polish.
I've smoked the grape leaf bent apple style and the Dublin style and they smoke well. I'm in love with the lady's hand pipe but I'm a little apprehensive to smoke it. Half have a metal stinger in the stem and the nicer ones have a bone tenon that I'm worried will break. Oh well, they are nice additions to my collection. Thanks Dad!!
