Hey yall, I came across warnings from people jarring / preserving things other than tobacco today that got me wondering about the jars in my cellar. They said when you tighten the rim down it makes an impression in the seal which deforms it and can prevent a good seal after you've released the rim, so the lids are considered a one time use.
Is that something I should consider for my cellared tobaccos in mason jars or is that just overkill / only applicable for food preservation? I have a lot of jars that i opened / closed several times just to try the tobacco before deciding to cellar.
Thanks!
