Once upon a time I used Emery labels with a red font that matched the bulk labels from my local tobacconist shop but … yeah, the shop is long gone and I’m far too lazy now plus the (possibility in my own head) cool factor is just not there anymore.

I have seen printed repros of the tin art scanned and cut to fit mason jar tops but that was before the Orwellian horror show and nanny state you’re gonna die a horrible death and your penis will fall off tin warnings and photos made that a bother.

Now I just bang a piece of tape or such on the jar lid with a handwritten note with the blend name and when bought.

Less faffing about and more smoking. I did rather enjoy the labels at the time but it was mostly because my jars on the bookshelf replicated the look of my local shop’s display but Im the only one who would get the reference now so … meh.

I'm one of these ancients who has a printer hooked up to my PC, so I can select one of dozens of type faces and write the name of the blender, the blend, the date received (sometimes). I don't add any pretty art, but I like the look of a printed-out label. I try to pick up the little label with the Scotch tape and affix it to the front or top of the jar. As we know, I'm not a photo guy, but, for me, if it isn't in print, it didn't happen.

I'm a graphic designer by trade, I print out mason jar top labels for everything. If I don't particularly like a brand's circular label or it doesn't have one I'll design my own.

Recently did some designs for some of the Sutliff bulks I'm pretty happy with. All in all it's a fun part of the hobby and brings a smile to my face when a drawer full of jars are all beautifully labeled.
