Do they still put corroborators in cars? I thought it was all fuel injected now?
Best I can gather, the last carburetor cars in the US were 1989-1991 time frame...

Plenty of motorcycles still use them, but they too are a smaller and smaller percentage (in the US). Worldwide, I believe a carb’d motorcycle is actually the most prevalent!

I'm reviving this thread just to make a boast, and I make no promises for later today or tomorrow. However, in 56 years of driving manual shifters, I have never had to replace a clutch. I've had vehicular mishaps, but never that. To date, I've treated my clutches like good friends.

Its all about how you treat them.

For georges sake: for best results smoke a dunhill with a VA blend, while driving a manual.

Here's my 100 hp 4-speed wonder, a winter long project. It had the stock, tired, low-compression late 70's era pistons and a single Weber carb. The winter project included a set of 60's era high-compression pistons 9:1, mild head work, valves, etc. and a proper set of twin SU carbs. I just finished tuning it this evening. Still an old man's sports car, but a bit more lively and more fun to drive.

Love the sound of diaphragm carbs at low idle... Had a single on a Harley knuckle...
