So I ordered 16oz of HH pure Virginia from a well known vendor, expecting a box of flake like I'm use to with the lbs of HH series. I got a bulk package, no factory marking, of what appears to be a Ready Rubbed Flake of some sort. Now I know that HH old dark fired comes in this format. Does the HH pure Virginia come like this as an option, or did I get some random stuff in a bag??

As far as I know it only comes in the discrete flakes, like you said. Sounds like they sent you the wrong thing.
My experience with HH Pure is they were the most perfect, narrow, stick o' gum lookin' flakes I've ever seen. But I've never seen it in bulk, so I can't speak to that. Doesn't seem right, though.
I'd send a photo to the supplier and I'm sure they will make it right or at minimum offer an explanation

yeah that's goofy, Mac B flakes come wrapped in big bricks in the first place, they are lovely.
I've only ever gotten it in a box. Recently bought two more pounds from SP cute to the sale and it came in boxes.
Same as everyone else has expressed, box in perfect bricks of flakes. I just picked up another pound a few weeks ago.
Wonder if you got Va #1 instead, it comes loose cut.
Sounds to me like VA #1 which is cheaper than HH pure Va
Most vendors will make this right but one or two of them with jerk you around.
I've sent a few emails with no reply yet. That was Thursday, so I guess I'll just have to live and learn with this one. Hopefully they get back to me though, because I did pay the premium for the HH flake

I definately think you're right BROBS. I smoked a bowl and it's a very sweet topped Va. It's actually pretty damn good, lol. Still, I overpaid for it

To order a box of HH Pure Virginia only to receive a bag of random unmarked stuff is pretty bad. Who was the vendor?
I could venture a guess who did it, but will refrain. Just make sure they didn’t pull the old switcheroo on your order confirmation. I’ve had that happen, where I ordered top tier tobacco, and when I went to check out, it was switched to something cheap (but price remained). Same vendor sent me something (their house blend) in lieu of what I ordered, then tried giving me the runaround when I complained. Said “it’s virtually the same” then offered a 20% off coupon, then claimed they didn’t have what I ordered in stock. I contested charges with my CC and they were reversed. Haven’t done business with them since.
I'm not going to call them out just yet. I'll give it a week or so for a reply with some sort of explanation. I hate slandering someones name if there is an honest mistake that was made and corrected.
