Well, just received my tin of Stockton and already on my 4th bowl. This stuff is amazing! I went to order more and it’s sold out. If anyone knows where I can get some it would be greatly appreciated! I’ve got many blends that I would sell or trade to get my hands on more of this tobacco as it appears there were only 6000 tins produced. Or if anyone has suggestions on the equivalent that is available, I would love to know. Thanks!!

Stockton is one of the ones that needs to be grabbed quickly when available (not to mention it’s uncertain future).
I haven’t broken into mine yet, but I do have NM403. It seems really good, but pretty rough when fresh, but I’m hoping some time will help.
Get ready for a real treat when you pop the tin of Stockton! It’s great straight from the tin to the bowl. If you don’t care for it… I’ll surely take it off your hands 🤠

The Newminster SRS are good, but as Sorbiker said, it really isn't good fresh. But, after a few years in the cellar, it really becomes tasty. I keep a few pounds of this set back for when I get the itch.
Thanks… I’m going to order some. Also looking at Three Nuns… been looking at it for awhile now and have been holding off due to $$ and all the reviews about it not being as good as the original. However, if it comes anywhere close to Stockton… I’ll definitely order some.

I've only had one tin of Three Nuns, back when I first started smoking pipes. I found it bitey and harsh, but I also was not as observant a smoker as I am now. But, I didn't find it very remarkable, so I never came back to it. Try it, if you want. Just be aware that it is not really anything like the original Three Nuns, but if you like what it is now, then enjoy.

a while ago the rumor was that Stockton is just half of dark twist. Dark Twist has two types of coins in it. Which is pretty obvious when you smoke a pound or more of that wonderful stuff. I forget which coin it supposedly is.
Not having smoked Stockton I can't confirm but that rumor does sound plausible to me.
Either way if you haven't tried their regularly available coins, go for it because they're kind of awesome. One of the few blends I've been known to smoke exclusively for weeks at a time.

I’ve not tried Dark Twist, however, if it’s even close to Stockton… I’ll give a try. Thanks!!

There are three spun cut regular production blends in the US: Dark Twist, Club Blend and Roll Cake. I love Dark Twist (molasses casing). I recall not liking Club Blend as much. Never tried Roll Cake but I think I need to. Does anyone have experience with Roll Cake?

I enjoy vanilla roll cake. It's aromatic enough to have flavor for the smoker and a pleasant scent for an audience without sledge hammering either party with artificial flavoring.

An added benefit, to my mind at least, is in the coin cut. It can be a very long lasting, sipping experience. Most aro's are ribbon or shag cuts and are very easy to smoke hot.

Ah yes I forgot about Vanilla Roll Cake. That one is too artificial for my taste. Though I like the sweetness. But there is also a blend called just "Roll Cake." It's all so confusing.
