Would McClelland Sell Their Recipes and Methods? :: Pipe Tobacco Discussion
So I know this will be controversial but if you've listened to the most recent episode of that other pipe podcast they call out Mike and Mary and ask them to take on an apprentice. I would love to see those blends come back but from what I've heaerd and read it may never happen. Thoughts?

Very, very doubtful but I suppose anything is possible. If they were going to sell to anybody, I would have thought it would be C&D, another US Manufacturer.
This topic has come up more times that I can count on this forum and I think we all know that 1) The McNeils do not plan on selling their brand or recipes, and 2) Even if they did, the new creations would not be the same as the originals. But seriously, how hard would it be for someone with the right recipe to recreate something nearly identical to Frog Morton?
I don't think that we'll ever see all of McClelland come back but I wouldn't be all that surprised to hear that someone made them a deal that they couldn't refuse for the rights to a frog blend or two.
