Haha well definitely newer by comparison! I've always been interested in smoking pipes, even from a young age (The Hobbit is the first book I can remember reading, and the 1987 animated movie really solidified the cool factor in my mind) and only last year did I finally get my first pipe, a Paykoc Rusticated Briarwood Churchwarden. Picked that one up at the Georgia Ren Fair from Danny Boy Pipes, and just yesterday grabbed a Mitchell Thomas Briarwood Churchwarden from them as a backup. I've been doing a lot of research on how to properly smoke and care for pipes, and am working on building a small collection for casual smoking. :) Sadly I'm somewhat back to square one, as the Paykoc turned out to have a bad crack and a hole in the shank which may not be reparable based on the research I've done, but I'd like to save it if I can, and learn much more about all types of pipes and tobaccos as well. :)

Welcome from Missouri and the knowledge will come for sure just remember that everyone will have different experiences in some areas so you will get different answers to the same questions sometimes. That said everyone here has been wonderful so far enjoy the community. We have a great bunch of people here.
Fantastic! A good community is always nice to find, and the more information I can get the better! :) I really want to start learning the differences between pipe makers and tobacco strains, and if possible what the best methods for making my own pipes might be! There are so many beautiful ones out there that learning the art would be an interesting and fun past time! :)

Oh man that's a kick in the teeth, I've ogled a Paykoc churchwarden more than once, nice pipes.
Did you contact them when it happened? If they can't fix or replace it there are a lot of happy customers of Briarworks, if memory serves me right they're in Columbia TN.

Plenty of low priced pipes around, briar to cobs, have a look as many options will be fairly close to you, at good prices.
Best of luck with your current pipe as well as the journey.

I had planned on going to the NC Ren Fair and speaking with them directly last year, but a series of horrible and unfortunate events fully wiped it from my mind. I'm definitely wanting to replace it, but will probably keep this as a display piece if I can't fix it. I'll absolutely check out Briarworks, and any other recommendations you have! :) These are the 2 pipes I currently have, the Paykoc first, and the MT second. I just finished the first bowl of the MT and it's MUCH smoother than the Paykoc off the bat, and gives better flavor by comparison.

I can't take credit for @Jbyrd 's recommendation, I was definitely agreeing though 😎

I'm also unsure of the live broadcast situation sorry.
Being from an overbearing southern country that is in a different timezone to many interesting things, I am very accustomed to listening to recordings and podcasts.
