Looking for A Nice (Reasonably Priced) Prince

Just sending this out there for some recommendations on a nice Prince shape, light-medium stain, maybe something different with the stem.

I certainly do not need a new pipe, but that shape has always drawn my eye.

Preferably new (don't seem to have the time to refresh estates anymore), but if it was a properly cleaned estate I'd look at it.

Anyone have some suggestions?

In the Ropp Etudiant line, there is the J23, which is close to a Prince, but, paneled. The J06 is closer to a Tomato, but, not far from a Prince (the bowl is quite small, though). The entire line is easy on the wallet.

This one is a little more robust than many, probably a good pipe, likely very clean based on experience with TT (used to be a sponsor, don't see her on the side panel now). Reasonably priced has a wide range of possibilities, depending on what one considers reasonable.

I am going to assume you mean under $100.00. If that is correct I'd highly recommend a current production Kaywoodie in the Sabbiata ( sandblast ) finish. The internal "engineering" is spot on. Fit and finish is great. The definition on the blasts is excellent. All are fitted with a blue Lucite stem, which means ease of care. The stems are very comfortable and buttons not too tall and not too short.

They "break in" quickly and smoke wonderfully. This grade has an SRP of around $70.00 US. IMHO one of the best quality to price ratios on the market today.

I don't have any, but have always liked the look of the Peteson Prince.
SmokingPipes have a very good selection in different finishes at the moment. Most at reasonable prices (@$100)

You might like to look at the Savinelli versions of their 315 and 315 KS prince shapes available in various series, as well as the Rossi versions, also made by Savinelli, usually numbered in similar way with an 8 added to the number, as in 8315 and 8315 KS. Both brands are nicely shaped, broad bowled, not overweight, and durable. The Rossi have the same good smoking characteristics but slightly less refined finishes.

I agree completely. I have 2. My Siena is a beaut and i think you can get 315s with a variety of stems with a couple under $100 on sale or ebay from time to time. The 313 (Amazon.com: Savinelli Roma 313 Black Stem Tobacco Pipe : Health & Household - https://www.amazon.com/Savinelli-Roma-Black-Stem-Tobacco/dp/B00DCEGZJG) is also a nice Prince-like pipe I think with a tad longer stem and maybe a bit of taper at the top of the bowl
