Whats that tile pad gotta be made out of? and how much heat are the walls exposed to?

I just bought a house with a stove pipe, and no stove. So I'm shopping for one now. The floor is linoleum over hardwood, in case that matters.
Each stove has an R-factor that the factory recommends for the hearthboard and the walls, as well as clearance from the walls on each side. Those boards weezel has are stove boards and are not tile. I think they are made of rock wool and have a high R-factor. You can find them at any shop that sells stoves.

We have the same Harmon Pellet Stove downstairs...another BYU Beast!
Yep, Harmon is a beast. I buy a ton of pellets at a time and costs about $4.70 a bag. That bag will heat my house for 24 hours give or take the temp and burn rate. I can't cut wood and all that good shit, but still can heft a 40lb bag of pellets into that thing. LOVE it!...
