Now that it's that cold time of year, the coal stove is fired up and keeping us warm and toasty. I know alot of you live in the countryside, and probably burn wood or coal in the winter. Let's see them! Here's my Alaskan Channing coal stoker.
I seem unable to let go of the past, so a Gurney wood cook stove rubs shoulders with a vintage working ‘20’s Hotpoint electric and an older microwave in our log cabin.
One of the back burners is actually a recessed soup pot with a warmer/simmering element at the bottom. It holds quite a bit.
Here is our wood stove. It has heated our home for almost a decade now and still kicking.
Not exactly what was requested but I've got 1500W of toasty LED goodness!
Small stove? Big dogs?

We have a gas fireplace in the house, but we sit around this on the porch. Physically I'm not able to cut firewood any more, but we have lots of dead fall on our property and the neighbors too. So he keeps me stocked up with firewood that is too crappy to burn in the three fireplaces in his house. ?

HearthStone Equinox 8000 soapstone wood stove:
It's a BTU beast that handles up to 25" wide firewood.
We run it, a 58K BTU pellet stove, & occasionally a masonry fireplace about 9 months per year.
SWMBO likes a warm home.

The outdoor ones look cool too. Like seeing the classic masonry fireplaces too. I burn mine but only for looks, it doesn't put out alot of heat.

I'll guess Amana Radar Range for the nuker. Funny, the electric stove looks like it should be the wood-burner! As of a few years ago, AGA would still sell you a wood-burning oven w/ cooktop. I've seen a few AGA constant-on gas-burning units, all turned off, lol. You leave that thing on all month, you're gonna have a gas bill.
Thats nice Dan. How long does the average dog burn for and does it put out a lot of heat?
Jotul insert warming up my special girl. The crappy Christmas lights make the room look more like a Mexican restaurant.
At my wife's home place in rural northeast Missouri, the family home, long uninhabited, has a wood and electric cook stove that looks just like a regular electric range, except for the stove pipe. In the front room, it also has foot pumped organ that looks like an upright piano that my wife sat right down and played for an hour.
