I just used that thread title as parodic descriptor of what lay beneath the clicking, and sort of paying homage to the numerous and endless Dunhill "flame threads" which exist on pipe forums everywhere.
I had just discovered the Milne essay and it brought into focus the fact that such sentiment against the brand has existed almost since the company's very beginnings, and I was rather awestruck with that fact.
