Okay, I'll play:
.
Garfinkel's Orient Express #11 - There's never been anything to even approach the perfection of this latakia mixture. Sadly, long out of print, but the stuff is legendary, and for good reason. The finest thing that has ever come out of Sobranie House. White label? Black label? Move over. This is it. Full stop.
.
Meridian - Arguably one of the best balanced latakia mixture available today.
.
Abingdon - Nothing is closer to, or has ever been closer to the original Sobranie 759. But, only those who smoked the original 759 know that, and most of us are older than me.
.
Quiet Nights - Unique, dynamic, rich, fascinating, and good to the last drop. It'll age for a decade or more, and continue to enthrall.
.
Chelsea Morning (or Piccadilly, I can't decide) - When a little latakia is just enough, these two satisfy me like no others.
.
That's my five, today. It'll likely change tomorrow, but the Garfinkel's will remain at the top spot, where it has been for the 30 years I've been smoking the stuff. Sorry to who might be offended by my putting so many of my own weeds on the list, but if I didn't think they were fantastic, I wouldn't put my name on them. I can't sell what I don't love.
