Regarding th Like button: I will always choose the "Love" option for pictures of pets. And if anyone think a that's a bad thing they can go pound salt.
I'm lost - is Rick Astley on this forum?
It's about conversing about the subject. If we think someone is being over the top or ridiculous we can say so. We should try to be civil and not make it personal, but that's part of the conversation. And it's a good thing sometimes to have people who are willing to tell you when you're acting a bit stupid. At least it's better then people thinking it and keeping their mouths shut.I have noticed recently some complaints about people's reactions and comments concerning certain topics. A forum is made for exactly that purpose. Those individuals have the forum to discuss their concerns and opinions. Do you have to agree with them -No. You have that right in a forum. The wonderful thing about this forum is that we have a mix of all sorts of individuals and opinions. We have complainers, we have jokesters, we have some who don't have a clue and those that have forgotten more about pipe smoking than I will ever know. If you don't like what they say-don't read their posts. Another great thing about this forum are the friends that you develop that you will never meet. I will ever be thankful for several members who had concern and reached out to me when I almost died 3 years ago from a auto-immune disease caused from Long-Covid. Because of the forum we know about their pets, their problems, their wishes, disappointments- in other words we have a family. So if you want to complain about the complainers, you have that right in a forum. Just remember all the good things about it and how much you would miss it if it wasn't here.
Yup I was completely lost. Lol that makes perfect sense, actually. Told you i was gone when it was implemented. LolYes, he seems to have that wrong and the notion that there is something suspicious about liking a post. It’s a nice thing to do!
It’s literally 6 pages of navel gazing at this point. This place is super friendly as long as you don't try to ask people about pipes or tobacco. If you do, you'll probably be scolded and directed to use the search feature because that question has been asked to death. And be careful about commenting on a long thread because you don't want to be accused of navel gazing.
Having recently been humbled by my massive misunderstanding of reaction scores, i will ask: Are you being purposefully obtuse?I'm lost - is Rick Astley on this forum? What was the drama you were referring to?
Hahahaha! I was thinking of commenting “It’s threads like this one that make me miss BROBS.”Is that the mythical BROBS everybody misses?
Maybe we can get to 7.It’s literally 6 pages of navel gazing at this point.
He was an agent of chaos.
I’m blanking on that reference. Could you please remind me what TDS is?That's one way of putting it I suppose.
I believe he was determined to be Patient Zero in the TDS epidemic.
I feel the same way. Any direct interactions we had were always pleasant, but he could get people riled up.I damn sure didn't always agree with him, but I did like him and I miss seeing him around.
I had his number, but I never saved it in my phone or anything.
It's a shame that I don't have any way to get up with him.
Who knows? He may have started eating meat. Maybe he was just a little nutrient deficient.

The first and thankfully only SJW I've encountered. He was promptly banned from another forum shortly after leaving here after just two posts for his virtue signaling. He was an agent of chaos.
Possible, but the navel gazing has devolved (evolved?) into tomfoolery.Maybe we can get to 7.
