I nearly always have a small remnant left that I dump. Its likely that a relight would accommodate three our four pulls before turning to complete ash. The rare occasion that I have packed and dried the tobacco and smoking it to near perfection only ash remains. This is likely 5% of the time I smoke. I have no issue dumping small amounts of dottle but I long for the opportunity to smoke to ash in complete bliss.

I find that English blends tend to go all the way down to ash, while VaPers always get moist enough at the bottom of the bowl that the tobacco can't really be lit, so I dump it out.

Tobacco is too expensive here to waste. Usually I'll choose a bowl size that I know I will finish. On the odd occasion when I still have half a bowl left I'll fire it up the next day.
It's only when there's 1/4 bowl or less when I'll dump it.

I want to clarify my earlier response. When I say "finish a bowl", that doesn't mean that I've burned every last single shred into a fine powder. There's almost always a little bit at the bottom that I toss. You will eventually fry the chamber walls and possibly cause stress cracks to form, from intentionally trying to burn up every last little shred.

It depends, generally I try to have enough time to finish a bowl when I sit down to smoke so the goal is to smoke all the way down. How much dottle is left in the bowl depends on the blend and perhaps other variables, my technique, humidity, drying of tobacco, etc. When I’m done a session I dump the contents ash, dottle or unsmoked tobacco and start fresh next bowl.

I am able to finish an entire bowl 1 out of 3 times due to the tug of higher priorities. Also, I smoke outdoors and I live in Seattle, so the weather is also significant factor.
I smoke Vapers almost exclusively so I normally just stuff a pipe cleaner in the stem and then pickup where I left the next day or so with out any real flavor impact.
In fact, I was thinking the other day that there are a couple of vapers that seem to actually improve when set aside at the 1/4 to 1/3 mark for a time.
That as it is, I rarely try to consume the last bits of tobacco because I don’t enjoy the taste of burnt briar and tar soaked dottle.
