I am so sorry I just missed you. A huge shout out to to @sablebrush52 and @jguss engaging conversation and good times. @shanez is right, this is a nice community. I can't say how appreciative I am of being given the opportunity to view and examine Jesse's wonderful and amazing collection of Barlings. Seeing them in person is so not the same as photos. The level of quality and craftsmanship is something to see for yourself. My recommendation is that we start having a pipesmagazine table at these events.Words can't describe how nice this community is!
I did end up getting my dad a pipe: A Canadian Castleford with a Red Bark Sandblast type finish. I am hopeful he will enjoy it as he adds it to his collection of 60+ years of smoking a pipe.
Anyway, what a joy it was to meet the legends themselves in person.
