Harris,
The evolution of your own lexicon is truly a noble pursuit. You are to be congratulated.
I, however, am not worthy of similar felicitations.
Yes, there are times, and this is one of them, when even being right feels wrong.
It was impulsive and inappropriate of me to call attention to your obvious character flaws. This day is simply going too well for me to be engaging in such a frivolous pursuit. This is the kind of day when you want to be belly-to-belly with a good woman, in a warm bed under a tin roof with the rain beating down and a lit pipe full of Stonehaven right next to the bed, not trading barbs through the medium of an internet pipe forum.
I am very sorry for my outburst, and do hope that you will forgive my injurious conduct.
Yours respectfully,
Peck

peck, :worship:
That was too freaking funny and I do accept your most heartfelt, sincerest, non sarcastic apology. I truly appreciate the fact that you did realize how much you hurt my feelings and that an apology as humble as yours was indeed something I needed to hear so that I could continue living my life unencumbered of resentment. As we both know resentments are something that fester like a boil, and I surely did not want to have one towards you, so I do accept your most humble apology and look forward to future important discussions with you.

I received 5 tins of this stuff from P&C today. I haven't cracked a tin yet and probably won't for a while.
One thing I found interesting is the tins all had tobacco revenue stamps from Canada affixed to them (I live in the state of Virginia). This blend is manufactured in Germany and sent to Brigham, which is located in Canada and then exported to the U.S.? Not sure of the import/export tax regs, but was surprised to see the duty stamps on the tins.

beezer, you may want to crack one of the tins as it has already been aged for 2-3 years in the tin and it is ready to smoke.
craig, sounds like you have some serious tasting ahead of you, hope you like the Gold as much as I do.

peck, it has always been like that. After my first order I had to wait for email notifications to get more, has something changed besides that?
It has been pretty readily available recently since you and I stopped buying it.

Harris I got everything on the list you sent (except the BCDF), so you know the smoking box will be over flowing. I plan to hit all the tins for at least six bowls and then the winners will be in the last big order for the year, Bummer about the Gold, I'll probably love it wanting to put a few stacks in the cellar and it won't be available :( But it looks like plenty of winners on the list, and the Gold will be back. Hopefully before the end of the year.

Smoking my first bowl right now, in the group 5 LJ Peretti blasted Canadian that Samcoffeeman sent me. What a wonderful and complex smoke. It is deep and sweet with caramelized sugar notes up front and some light spicy notes throughout. More complex, to me anyway, than either of the current Capstan offerings; both of which have cleaner and more fruit forward flavours to my palate.
Thanks to Yaz for the sample. I'll be ordering this for sure.
Happy puffing.

Pat, I loved this stuff from the first moment I cracked that tin. Just great stuff. Anyone who likes VA flakes should give it a whirl. Of course I can say that now that I have 125 tins put away, lol.

I remember chatting with you about the stuff. I see what you like. The only Virginia flake I've tried and enjoyed more is the 2012 XMas Cheer I picked up. I think I'll be picking up a few tins on my next order.

Pat, I have some 2003 CC out now. It is incredible smokey and earthy, though not as sweet as I expected. I am sure I will still have some around for you to try when you and Brian come out.

Pat and Yaz, glad to hear you guys are enjoying the Gold. If you are any kind of VA flake lover, it is tough not to appreciate the flavors of this blend.
Craig, PC is showing the Gold as in stock.
