Ive seen one or two Ashtons that were part smooth/part rusticated.
Ive never seen a Dunhill with any amount of rustication though. Have any pics?
The only Dunny I now have is one from Smoking Pipes for 125.00. That should give you an idea. Ring Shell that the previous owner buffed until an almost smooth finish. Replacement stem and all hogged out until you could suck an olive through it. Both reamed and topped with a pocket knife. I will attempt to find it. In all fairness it did smoke as good as anything I have.

Capri is also my favorite rustication. I own 5 Capri pipes and wish I had purchased more. I also really like their Pigna line.

I have several rusticated pipes that I had purchased at the beginning of my piping hobby but tend to favor the sandblasted and smooth variety.
My favorites are Radice's Rind, Ascorti's Business, and Rinaldo's Lithos styles. Sea Rock is a bit hit and miss for me.
For the life of me I can't find the site. Of the two sites I thought it was, one describes the shells as blast and the other just says rustic (not rusticated). I have the site bookmarked at my office so I'll check tomorrow.
Since the pipe is a Dunhill (white spot or otherwise) it should technically be a blast finish. I personally don't make a distinction between the two finishes if I can't visually see the difference.
