Just won this Stanwell Bent Dublin on cigarbids. I honestly really liked the shape and look of this pipe. Are these Stanwell pipes decent? It was my first time on that site and honestly took a shot at it not really expecting anything, but i happened to win it...

I have a Danish made Stanwell that smokes like a champ. I also have a newer Italian made one but I haven't smoked it yet, although I've heard good things about them.

Stanwell is an old, established and well respected brand.

Since about 2010 they’ve been made in Italy, and represent an excellent value in premium pipes.

Reg’d era Danish Stanwells are mighty fine pipes, I’ve got no clue on Italian ones. Many of their designs are holdovers from when they had some of the best designers in house.

I have several Stanwells, I think the brand doesn't get the love it deserves.

Stanwell, Peterson, and Savinelli are generally considered the best pipe manufacturers in that mid-range segment. I have all three on my racks. Good solid pipes.

I have this exact same pipe, but with wire rustication instead. They're a solid pipe. The chamber in them is somewhat narrow and cylindrical, and the pipe itself is light weight. It's well suited to shorter smoking sessions in particular.

I love Stanwell’s! I like the ones that are made for a filter because they have a nice open draw if you don’t use the filter. I have 8 or 9 Stanwell’s, all of them smoke great!
