It's been a while since I have reached for my Wardens.

So, for the next few days I'll be cleaning and smoking my Church Wardens.

I'll hear about the latakia from the War Department.... C'est la vie.
This time it is the Brebbia Lectura with Straight Latakia.

Prior to poking and stoking, I gave it a thorough cleaning, and removed that damn stinger....

Who ever heard of putting such a clogging mechanism in a 10" stem?

Man it draws so much better.

Hey Cortez,
Round 3: Ding.... Ding.
Straight latakia in my Willmer Lightweight Churchwarden.
I once thought that straight latakia would be a rough smoke. Not true.

It has always smoked very smooth and very tasty.

But, I smoke it only in my wardens.

The length of the stems allows it to cool down (in theory).

However, it never seems to burn hot.

Just mellow and satisfying.
(added thought)

You know a lot of latakia blends use Asian/Oriental tobaccos; I think that is where the rough edges come from.

McClelland Vanilla Black Cavendish in my Brigham rusticated apple. It's a wonderful evening and I'm sitting outside without a heater or a sweater for the first time this year. It's been that kind of spring.

Early morning pipe because it is early and the Nording was found wanting . Fresh ground coffee with real cream and honey . I find it funny how my german sheppard Lucy is always awake when I am .I think she likes the second hand smoke . lol

Esoterica's Dorchester in a Stanwell Zebrano 1/8 bent blasted dublin. My order from smoking pipes finally arrived and I am back on the road to developing a tobacco stash again. There is still a good chance that I will be reunited with my existing stash, but I have pretty much written it off to divorce. Pity, cause there were some nicely aging tobaccos in there. Oh well. for now, I have the beginnings of a new tobacco stash: Marlin Flake, Esoterica's Dorchester and And So To Bed, Escudo, McClelland's Oriental #8 (green tins), G.L. Pease Maltese Falcon and C&D's Tuskegee Airman. I'm already designing my next tobacco order. Maybe one big one and I will stop for a bit and focus my $$ on pipes for a bit.
