It's 100 degrees outside today, think I'll wait till it cools down a bit, then it's gonna be trying out some Trout Stream, which I've heard so much about.

After working with new software most of the day, I'm

ready for this... A bowl of Steve's London Mixture in

Yanik's Art Deco. Best to all.

big Thunderstorm rolled through and dropped the temp down to 81 degrees, so I was able to try out the "Trout Stream" on the back deck. I have definitely found a real keeper and the dead nuts all time competition for 1Q. It was the longest, coolest, smoke so far with constant sipping and only 1 re-light at about the 3/4 way point. The one thing I like about the Quiet Comrade is that you can see exactly what is left after a smoke since it has an aluminum bottom to it.

Trout Stream would likely be the one I'd choose for the last smoke before the Firing Squad/Electric Chair.

IRC's bulk Va. flake, aged ~2yrs., fully rubbed, in a Rattray's bulldog.

(Really, really wanted to have another bowl immediately; but alas, duty calls,

and it'll have to wait. I think I'll prep a second bowl, char it, and DGT for later.)

Well, just had a second bowl of IRC Va. flake as above. Another heavenly experience that transcends mere verbal description.

It was a confluence of the right conditions: appetite, pipe, tobacco, etc., evoking exactly the same response as before,

"Have another bowl right away!" The experience reminded me of one of Shakespeare's references to Cleopatra
...other women cloy

The appetites they feed; but she makes hungry

Where most she satisfies...
