Job Pipe

I'm curious if anyone else here has tried a Job Pipe from Italy?

I was skeptical at first. Most pipe smokers are traditionalists and smoking out of stainless steel or titanium is far from traditional.

The gentleman who makes these pipes is named Simone Morri and he's very passionate about his pipes, he has an Italian YouTube channel. He owned a tobacco shop in Rimini (or still does, I'm not completely sure)

I'm very happy with my purchase and it has quickly become my favorite pipe to smoke. Being able to wash the pipe after each smoke and getting it as clean as new is helpful because I can rotate any tobacco. I'm not sure what magic he's done with the design but I hardly ever require a relight.

The titanium bowl seems to diffuse the oils in the tobacco unlike anything I've experienced before. Flavors are so much more pronounced.

I'm curious if anyone else has experienced a job pipe and their opinions. Mine is a group 1 Titan bastard.

The bowl cover is made of delrin and the shank is peek. I use the 9mm version (obviously ).

Interesting design with the gap between the metal and the delrin outer bowl to keep it cool to the touch. I'd probably have that filled with accidental tobacco as i'm a messy loader over my glass table. :P No porousness in the material means no ghosting, similar to clay or stone. If one likes the aesthetic, would make a great taster pipe, i'd imagine.

The frame is aluminum and the bowls are mostly briar with a few corncob offerings.

Oh okay I've never looked closely at them. I know in the 70s there was the Aristocob which never took off, there were so many attempts to reinvent the wheel with pipes in that era.

His "Bud of Titania" is the one that appeals to me the most, and I pulled the trigger today. I'll post my experience here once it arrives. Looking forward!

I can't speak for anyone else but I've smoked and own very high grade briars, Baki meers, calabash pipes, cobs, and my titanium job pipe beats them all in smoking quality and flavor experience.

The esthetics are far from traditional and won't appeal to most old school pipe guys but the smoking quality is on another level!

Congrats on the acquisition and please let us know what you think. I want to know if it's just me that has gone bonkers

Just too ungainly, to my eye. Precludes my interest. Too many shapes give it a disjointed look. No reason to add one to my rotation as my traditional pipes provide all I'm seeking to experience. As The Bellamy Brothers sang, "I'll hang on to the old ..."
