I would love to try a falcon but they don't accept a 9mm filter.
While I have standardized on 9mm filters for my regular smoking pipes, I do own a couple Falcons. They have their own 'dry ring' filter, and you can also get the International stem that takes a 6mm filter as well. I like Falcons as inexpensive decent smokers that I don't worry about 'ghosting'. I can dedicate specific Falcon bowls to Lakelands or heavy Lat's or whatever without concern. And they do smoke dry and well (for me).

That's the beauty about the Job pipe titanium bowl. Zero ghosting, cleans and sanitizes like new after every smoke. Also, you can smoke it over and over all day long, if your heart desires. It can be your one and only pipe if you don't want a collection.

If you like some variety, you can get longer shanks, scorpion shanks, filter-less shanks or different mouthpieces.

That's my intended use case for the Job Pipe -- it can be my 'Ghost Pipe". But I acknowledge that a person could purchase ten Falcon bowls for the same price. :)

Mine was €154. Not inexpensive but considering it lasts lifetimes and can really be your one and only pipe, I think it's reasonable.

So my Job Pipe "Bud of Titania" arrived this week and I've smoked two blends in it so far: first was Northwoods (my go-to first smoke in new pipes), and second was G&H Brown Flake Scented. I will be posting a TAD thread with detailed pics and impressions soon, but overall I'll say that it provided a wipe-clean, zero-ghost experience. Draw was a bit tighter than my briars and the bowl definitely got hot in use. More to come!

I brought one about 2 months ago and was astonished on how well it smoked. Everything was crisp and rarely provided a bad smoke. My only iffy experiences are with some virginias and aromatics, but not all of them. I am guessing controlling the temperature of the smoke is much harder than your regular briar, but if you can manage it I am certain it will out smoke most briars while providing no ghost and can be easily cleaned even if you got lazy and left it dirty for a day or two. Just come back to it and rinse it with warm water and use some tissues to wipe the bowl. A perfect all rounder pipe to have while travelling.
