Yep, I emailed SP last night and they said one more release this year with Perique. Jeremy is actively looking for good replacement leaf. I say this is great news.

I believe that their relationship with these tobacco farmers are such that they may be able to find a quality replacement when needed but I guess there are no guarantees.

Off topic but I wonder if Eight State Burley is off the menu this year? They released it in March the past two years. I'm primarily a burley guy and that blend is one of my favorites. I think the floral/herbal orientals in that blend make it something special.

If cornell went down we'd also lose gl pease. It'd be pretty horrific to say the least to lose them both

and Two Brothers, Drucquer and Sons, Captain Earle's, Low Country, Warped..... they may not make the flake or hard to get stuff from the EU but they are major. Frankly, US is super lucky they are around and pump out the volume and diversity they do.
