I've noticed they are tiny back then in general no matter what make. I collect old Meers and they are scrawny back then compared to these behemoths we make now...I say go for it........... Old Dunhills are like old Harley Davidson motorcycles......... they just hold their value or even go up over time. Keep in mind that the 20-30's Dunhills are considerably smaller as a rule, not always, but I think tobacco was expensive back then, and smaller bowls were the norm.
Agreed...... There are exceptions but 90% of them are pretty damn small............I've noticed they are tiny back then in general no matter what make. I collect old Meers and they are scrawny back then compared to these behemoths we make now...
Why are the Peterson emeralds so pricey? Were they a collectible green pipe? I see one ebay for 450 clams and wonder why?I’m an 80s baby too. I settled on a Peterson Donegal Rocky for a birthyear pipe. Otherwise most of my smokers are first half of the last century, if not earlier.
Someone's got high hopes. Why are the Peterson emeralds so pricey? Were they a collectible green pipe? I see one ebay for 450 clams and wonder why?
I can’t help you there sorry. The only reason I got a Pete from this decade is that it is my favourite finish in the Donegal Rockys…it was also a gift from brobs. (If you’re still out there lurking bro, cheers once again)Why are the Peterson emeralds so pricey? Were they a collectible green pipe? I see one ebay for 450 clams and wonder why?
