Thanks, I hear varying reports on the toxicity of Cyanoacrylate, I am assuming this much on that part of the pipe will be of no consequence?

Might be a silly suggestion but if you tried contacting Peterson maybe you could just get a replacement stem?

Nah, they don't do them, but they gave me an address of someone who does - apparently it costs a fortune - hopefully my fix will hold.

Hi,

I acquired a couple of Peterson pipes, this one has a small crack in the mouthpiece - is it worth repairing? I suspect it won't affect the smoke?

easy repair. Cut a piece of card stock, and use scotch tape on the stock. Put a little Vaseline on the stock before insertion. CA glue will fix that up. Sand accordingly with micro mesh or fine sandpaper.

No problem. CA is inert when dry.
