About the "fake" fact:
Here shops mix good tobacco and bad tobbaco and they fill to filtered tubes, they sell it.

Can you show us some pictures of fake tobaccos? I'm fascinated. Especially since someone is risking Turkish prison time to make a few measly bucks.

i was knew some shops but they closed by the police. My cigaratte tobaccos are licenced so if i find it i will send here :D

When I was in Antalya this summer, I couldn’t find pipe tobacco anywhere. Except for one shop, where the guy pulled a mislabeled box of the shelf that concealed a few pouches of Captain Black Grape. I was asked to pay cash with no receipt. It seemed strange at the time, but makes sense now.

Maybe "illegal" tobaccos, but not necessarily fake brands... as in someone was passing a cheaper tobacco off as a more expensive brand.

It is strange that many tobaccos here in the US are described as Turkish and are affordable, but people living in Turkey cannot buy Turkish tobacco at reasonable prices!

it's bc taxes.For example 1 packet cigaratte have %81 Tax plus incrased prices.

As much as some youngsters are complaining about the god's country, American things are still loved outside of USA. That includes American tobacco. Black market is a big business in most countries. We don't feel it since we are here in the land of plenty. And I love this promised land!

It’s true. One only needs to read posts from friends in Canada or the UK and what they pay in taxes to know we are very fortunate to live where we do, and to be able to get most any tin of quality tobacco for $15 USD or less.

I would give anything to get a tin of tobacco for $15 here in Canada. Sadly, that isn't anywhere near possible. A pouch of Captain Black White here in Ontario is about $44.95, not including sales tax! Heck, if I could get a tin of C&D for $30 here that would be a deal! You guys down south are a lucky bunch!
