Folks just don't read, or heed the rules.
The mods have to read every single post in that section - so they know when someone requests to close/delete a thread and general monitoring. Members break the rules in this section with some frequency, like twice this morning.
If members would read and follow the rules, I'd be open to changing them. But, I've been doing this for over 10 years now, and it has not changed.
This forum is unique in that it is paid for by sponsors, who sell pipes and tobacco.
Other forums are built this way - but, they have paid sellers accounts, so you can list whatever you want. For an annual fee. We've avoided that.
