The “cure” is to keep adding more until you’re done. Sounds like you’re just about there.
…but what if you’re never done?! 🤔

In all seriousness, I’m blessed to be able to afford acquiring blends I intend to smoke well into the future. Once I reach retirement in a few years, I’m expecting more blends I truly enjoy to not be available or so expensive that buying tins would crush my pension.

There is a direct correlation for me between hours spent in shopping for tobacco or reading reviews about blends and my tobacco purchases.

Now I just sit and smoke. I’ll visit online shops some other month

I think you might be on to something here….. cold turkey on reading forums for almost a year or so, just happily smoking through blends and my cigars while in the back of my mind I knew I needed a restock of some bulk but put it off….

Then finding out Sutliff was no more when I couldn’t find any in stock anywhere brought the sense of urgency back when I ultimately found out what happened with Sutliff and Mac Baren.

Kind of went a little wild this last month with around 15 lbs purchased between bulk and tins. I think I’m good for the time being until the next Stokkebye sale

Smoke once a day. Or buy a small pipe and still smoke once a day. Its not a sign of bravery to smoke 100 gram a week, but to see how long you can make said 100 grams last

Unfortunately this affliction has a high potential to be terminal. Based upon your description of symptoms, I would conclude you are in the same circumstance as I, DOOMED. I will have to live to 310 to smoke what I currently have and I still continue to buy occasionally. My lack of self control is pathetic and I am ashamed. However, I am pathetic and ashamed with damn fine tobacco.

That's just how folks have been conditioned as consumers. It can be unlearned.
Almost t but when it's trained to a pathological level over the generations, simply having something becomes a vital aspect of life for most.

It's also worsened by the supply chains that seem created to solely force bulk purchasing on someone. And furthermore the lack of actual social interaction makes it worse.

Once if you had a tin of tobaccy that tucked you could give it to someone. Now the lack if actual interaction causes mental suffering because we're trained not to throw it out but trained to save it and muddle out what 20$ tin or 60$ a pound bulk blend could be bought to mix with that unwanted pouch of sir Walter to make it smokeable.
