While they can be accurate that site is in no way 100 percent accurate at all times.
Have you smoked Modern Virginia Flake before? I’m sitting on a tin until it’s available again. Curios as to what you guys think of it.
It’s a nice and fruity VA/Cavendish flake.
It won’t be made again.
Try the Mixture or Scottish Flake. I like both.
I was gifted a few flakes and liked it. Was hoping it may still be around.
Per Jensen told me it was discontinued two years ago. I'm sure glad I stocked some to age.
It slightly tickles my fancy that Modern flake is now antiquated.
While I feel as though this one was misnamed, because it was more of an aromatic, IMO, I hate to see it was removed from production. If you think of it as an aromatic flake, it was a top quality one, if that is your thing.

Well people were confused because it was a combination of their modern cavendish and Virginia. “Modern Virginia”.
They just expect people to know what their modern cavendish is (which they don’t) .. it’s the fruity cavendish they use in many of their blends and what imparts the fruit flavor in many, including their vanilla flake.
I think it would have sold better if the name was more like "Fruity Virginia " or something.
Agreed. The name didn’t imply much and the description if I remember correctly just said something about it containing the modern cavendish. Which most people don’t know about.
Unless there is a material shortage of production problem, the market usually determines what stays and what goes.
I think I have a jar of this stuff cellared. I'll check tomorrow morning. If I do, you can have it.
