Is it me... or are P-lip stems the best?

I have a couple of bents I love to smoke every so often; and... I just love the way the P-lip stem channels the smoke so much much more... lovingly over the roof of my mouth than any other stem type. What do you guys think? Feel the same way or what?

Me either. Something about that shape that makes me chew them like a little league pitcher with big ol' wad of bubble gum.

I haven't had much luck with "P" lips, I cant clamp down on them comfortably and they are to hard to run a stem cleaner down.

P-lips : I think they're fine....a little harder to clean....but their absence or presence doesn't break the deal.... :?

Good concept, but they would be better if they were bigger, especially the draft hole.

I prefer a more generalized flow of smoke. Most of our tasting ability is centralized on the tongue. I smoke a pipe because I enjoy the wide latitude of flavors, why would I want to reduce my enjoyment by routing the smoke away from my tastebuds?
The air flow is too restricted for my preferences.
They're too hard to clean.
I don't like the shape of the button, it just doesn't feel comfortable.
I certainly don't mean to denigrate anyone else's choice in pipes, but to me, p-lips have serious drawbacks and no advantages.

I have one p-lip that smokes very well. If I didn't clench my pipes I would probably buy more of them.

I enjoy smoking the Petes I have, which have the P-Lip system.

To me, it doesn't make a lot of difference whether I smoke a

P-Lip or a Fantail...
