Mmm, Isoamyl Acetate, the banana & bubblegum flavor in young whiskey! Interestingly (to me anyway), jackfruit is in the same family of pseudo-fruit flowers as figs. I'd bet with the triple distillation process of Irish Whiskeys, Isoamyl Acetate would be an abundant and cheap flavoring option there.
Might have to try casing some tobacco in my Hefeweizen for the Isoamyl Acetate.

I just added a few drops of bourbon to my bowl of Yorktown and wow it really added to the bite and also was really tasty. The only reason it relates the main topic is because it really added dimensions that I don't really associate with bourbon.
Makes sense. I use a little red pepper flakes in many food dishes, not for the spicy taste but for how it accentuates other ingredients.

Can you ask the mods to delete your post? RDH has suddenly assumed near unicorn status. Last drop, my two most reliable sources for GH got none. I had to beg a seller who normally breaks down to sell by ounces to sell me a whole 500g bag. You really aren’t doing anybody who likes the blend any favors.

In fact, given the present supply issues, any discussion of GH tobacco should be banned. As a fan of 35 years, I can say with complete confidence that most of you won’t like them. Bob’s Chocolate is particularly foul to the uninitiated. I have jars and Mylar bags of GH and SG stashed all over the house (but, alas, only about a pound and a half of RDH)and the EPA has declared it a Superfund clean up site.

Seriously, I never thought I would live long enough to see this. I am reminded of 1992. I picked up a copy of the very first issue of Cigar Afficianado at LAX on my way back to Florida where I then lived. That issue ranted and raved about how good made in Miami La Gloria Cubanas were. I had less than a box of Charlemagne’s and a box plus of Wavell’s. It was damn near six months before I could get another full box. At twice the price. I kind of got a hoot, though, out of being ahead of the curve back then. But not now. Definitely not now.
I liked Bob's Chocolate Flake the first time I tried it. I had a hard time getting it again though.

I do pick up on florals in this blend but more like actual florals than perfume and it is very light. Definitely more Irish than Lakeland. Its an absolutely stellar flake, one I cellar very deep.
