Mark is responsible for Peterson pipenotes ✌?

Is he a member here?

Well I’m happy for Peterson’s response to me. The alignment of the cartouche, in relation to the other stamps, and it’s size, I’m convinced it’s a D.

I got really motivated after posting this.

The condition of the pipe when I received it was awesome, but I went hog wild here, LOL, and decided to sand the chamber out.

I really felt like this pipe deserved that. ❤️

The grey you see is just the slightest of stains, otherwise it’s almost as new inside.

I’ll just smoke only VAs until I get the slightest carbon, and I’ll certainly be particular the blends smoked in it, as to not ghost it.

Well, I feel like I barely qualify to own such a pipe, because last year, I truly feel like I didn’t have the experience to know how to maintain such a piece.

I’m sure we’ve all possibly made some estate mistakes in the past, or bad smoking mistakes, smoking to hot, ghosting etc...

But, I have to admit, while it is a tool, it’s a fine tool, and I love to clean my tools... LOL ?

I’m having a blast... ❤️

I’ve never smoked condor, cough cough, hehe I know @halfdan does. :)

I’ve never heard anyone talking much about older vintage condor, if there is any out there... ?

Oh, it gets talked about. I started off on Condor plugs back in the '80s. I miss them terribly - probably just nostalgia, but smells evoke memories, and my Condor-related ones are all great.

You reminded me - I have some old Condor flake that I save for very, very special occasions. I should be breaking in my 'new' ancient Petersons with it, but for the most part I use 3 P's for such things.

Were you in touch with the young woman at the Peterson shop in Dublin? We were there Monday late afternoon and then again on Tuesday and this all fits with a conversation we were having and her talking about a unique pipe from that era. She was pretty excited about it.
