I thought I would have tried it by now and shared some info, but I stopped at my local B&M Friday on my way home from work to try and give them a little love...
I actually thought I might buy my first Peterson but I couldn't find one that begged me to take it home (they're more appreciative when they beg... ).
I did, however get begged by an estate Savinelli dry system with a rusticated, light-stained bowl, and a Dublin chamber. So I took her home and put her to use right away. While the chamber is smaller than I thought I liked, that is the best pipe I've ever tried yet.
By far.
It's like a magic pipe.
It made 2 nice blends jump up to new levels, and tamed the Perique in the NightCap that I had just opened - making it a delicious bowl of nirvana.
Aaaand, it did those three bowls in succession, something no other briar has done like that for me.
Wow, just wow.
When contemplating more pipes, I don't know which factor to replicate?
If I could figure it out, I would buy a stable of fantastic pipes and get rid of the poor, average & good pipes that are taking up space & $.
But I promise I'll get some insight about the one pictured above.
