A friend recommended a product to me. Has anyone used it before? This is a German website, and I asked the website owner if its formula is healthy, but did not receive a response. May I ask if anyone has used this product before? Is it a natural ingredient? Does it contain any chemical components? For example, liquid sodium silicate.

It a basic bowl coating . Probably charcoal based, maybe with ash. It is used by most pipe restorers here in Germany. I have several pipes restored and reamed and all had this. You can make your own. It has been discussed in many threads, search bowl coatings or pipe mud.

So it doesn't contain any chemical components?

Maple syrup or honey. Coat the bowl. Dump in some charcoal from the health food store. Leave it for a couple of hours. Now dump out the charcoal and let that pipe sit for about a week.
I heard that this method has a high usage rate and is not difficult. I will try it when I have time.

I dont know what your use is for that product but I dont belive it is for any purpose other than a thin bowl coating. It is to prevent damage. I doubt its suitable for repair of existing damage. It might work but it might not last. I think there are probably better things to use for damage....but several coats might work in an area thats burnt. For one thing it may be too thin.

If you want to be sure of the ingredients get some activated charcol poweder and make your own mix. Some guys use a mix of AC and plaster of paris for damage. For bowl coatings I think its a bit of gum arabic and AC. One cant be sure but I doubt it contains waterglass. They would likely indicate it and the price would be higher. Some guys really suggest waterglass plus bowl coating for a damaged pipe but you state you do not want that.

Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Are you referring to the cigarette ash after burning a cigar? Or charcoal powder?
Yes, the ash from a smoked cigar. You can pass it through a sieve to make it more uniform. In Argentina there is also something called charcoal pills. They are for when you are in that situation where you cannot get away from the bathroom, you know what I mean. That is charcoal in a medicinal state, I doubt it could be harmful to put in a pipe. I don't know if it is sold in other countries. Here we use them to dye cyanoacrylate when we repair a mouthpiece. As an adhesive we use a small layer of honey adhered to the walls of the bowl.

The situation I am facing is that the interior has been damaged and needs to be filled with holes. If that's the case, this product may not be suitable. Its function may be to protect against burning, but is there a better way to deal with the burnt interior of the pipe?

I filled the damaged parts inside my pipe with honey and charcoal powder yesterday, and it has been 20 hours since then, but it has not dried yet. I don't know if there is a problem with my ratio.

Hi,
Reply from Marco Janzen.
The paste is made from waterglass,Graphite, and pulverized stone.
Thank you for your enthusiasm. As we speculated, if the ingredients contain liquid sodium silicate, I don't think this is the best choice. I will try other methods first.

I dont think honey will dry. It will burn. My thinking is you need something that will dry and harden. I would have used something like plaster of paris and AC powder. Honey will burn and might not be that hard. Note Im not a repair person but honey and charcoal seems inadequate.

Personally id use waterglass but there are plenty of alternatives. Homemade pipe mud is a better choice than honey for filling a gap.

The quickest way I know of to build up cake is: Wet the chamber. Fill with granulated sugar. Dump out, let dry a bit. Carefully load tobacco so as to not scrape away any sugar.

Smoke to near the bottom. Repeat if necessary.
