I was considering it, but opted to pass. I decided there were bigger pipes I might enjoy more.

I considered it too, but there were a few factors (size like you said, among them) that led me to pass. Hopefully whoever bought it can restore it to smoking condition (if that's their desire) while keeping it intact. It's a horn stem (which tend to split) and the pipe itself is painted on with some dark paint (doesn't look like "stain" to me).

Pretty big money for a GBD Unique. This one is attractive (some are not).

I was going to take a swing at this one, but we were at my granddaughters soccer game and I forgot. I likely wouldn't have gone this high, for a twin-bore mouthpiece.

This is a particularly interesting pipe for a couple of reasons. There’s the type of logo stamp that’s different from the logo stamp that’s still in use at this time, pointing to an overlap and there’s the dual smoke hole bit, like the “bite proof” bits that I’ve seen on other much later pipes, the earliest I’ve seen.

This is a BIN and still available. If you are up for a challenge and have $250 burning a hole in your pocket, you can get six projects.
