Strange to me that it doesn't show the price. Seller was very happy with the offer and asked if I was sure I wanted to pay that much. It has some chamber damage and a crack in the shank, but looks beautiful now. Retail price on these three WWII-era Shamrocks was $6, as opposed to the normal $3.50 for Shamrocks. The grain I've seen on these is always special, with no fill. Not sure why they got the 'Shamrock' designation. How much did this 777 go for?!?
In hand, it's a shape that seems to make great sense. Maybe it will come back as a POTY?Just wow! This was my holy grail pipe. Just stoked to see one in the wild
Who knows. It would be pretty cool if they did, along with some of the other 700 shapes. In hand, it's a shape that seems to make great sense. Maybe it will come back as a POTY?
Bless you, my son.Who knows. It would be pretty cool if they did, along with some of the other 700 shapes.
I used to joke that the day I found a 777 I would take up my grandad’s legacy as a minister. You may have just saved me…or rather a potential congregation…by snagging that one.
Wow, great job. What a shape! For the few curious Pete Geeks - the above 777 during restoration.
Thank you. It gets its inaugural (I assume) 21st century smoke this afternoon.Wow, great job. What a shape!
I'm surprised this auction hasn't been mentioned. The two top pipes aren't original to the set, but both are very nice. The bottom two I think are from 1930 - old English 'p'? But the most interesting thing is that the name on the case refers to a Montreal magistrate who had a very interesting Valentine's Day case. Google it.
I dropped a $600 bid that barely made the radar.
